Outdoor Activities

  • Bike, scooter or walk along the Blue Mile Pathway, hire a bike or use a shared scooter to explore Wollongong’s foreshore and lighthouse precinct.
  • Visit Flagstaff Hill Lighthouse which has panoramic ocean views and picnic spots.
  • Swim at rock pools, the Continental Ocean Pool near North Beach is free, scenic, and great for a morning dip.
  • December is summer in Wollongong, the perfect time to hit the beach. Central Wollongong has several beaches to offer such as North Wollongong Beach, City Beach, and Cove Beach.
